QWERTY Keyboard
In 1874 typewriters from the Sholes and Glidden Company produced the QWERTY layout for letter keys. The explanation for why the keyboard is layer out like this simple. The QWERTY arrangement was designed to reduce the chance of internal clashing of the type bars by placing letters that were commonly used together far apart from each other. This allowed the typist to type faster without the fear of the typewriter jamming.
